1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to UniNest, owned and operated by UniNest India ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our official website (https://uninest.co.in), mobile applications, educational portals, and related digital services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

2. Nature of Platform: Educational Technology (EdTech)

UniNest India operates strictly as an Educational Technology (EdTech) Platform and AI Student Operating System (OS). The Platform provides digital learning tools, AI-powered doubt solving (UstadMigo), competitive examination preparation for medical and engineering assessments (NEET UG, NEET PG, JEE, INI-CET, MBBS), spaced-repetition practice drills, educational notes, student academic workspaces, and digital AI study credits.

3. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must be a registered student, educator, verified campus vendor, or authorized institution representative. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the Platform and are solely responsible for all data and content you upload.

5. Payments & Educational Subscriptions

UniNest India offers digital educational services, including optional AI study credit top-up packs, exam preparation modules, and student subscription tiers. Online payments and digital transactions on the Platform are processed through Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorized payment aggregators and payment gateways, including Cashfree Payments (Cashfree Payments India Private Limited) and associated banking partners.

Users agree to provide valid and authorized payment details and comply with applicable payment gateway policies. UniNest India does not store sensitive card data, net-banking credentials, or UPI PINs on its servers.

6. Content Policy & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any original study notes or academic content you post on the Platform. However, you grant UniNest India a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, and display this content in connection with providing educational services. You agree not to post content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property or violates applicable laws. Plagiarism and academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to remove any violating content.

7. Data Privacy & Security

Our collection and processing of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy, in compliance with applicable Indian Information Technology regulations. We implement robust organizational and technical safeguards to protect student data and examination records.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform and educational materials are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniNest India shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the educational services.

9. AI Study Credits & Fair Usage Policy

UniNest provides students with access to state-of-the-art AI study tutors, doubt solving, and exam preparation capabilities. The following terms govern the allocation, consumption, and expiration of AI study credits:

• Free Promotional \$5.00 Monthly Quota: Every verified student receives \$5.00 USD worth of free AI study credits (4,500 credits) upon registration and on the 1st of each calendar month.
• Fair-Usage Daily & 6-Hour Windows: To ensure high-speed, low-latency availability for all students and to prevent automated abuse or API overload, free tier credits are distributed across 30 days at 150 credits per day, subdivided into four 6-hour time windows (38 credits per 6-hour block: 00:00–06:00, 06:00–12:00, 12:00–18:00, and 18:00–24:00 UTC).
• Window Expiration (Use-It-or-Lose-It): In accordance with industry-standard AI service limits (such as ChatGPT and Claude), unused free credits in any 6-hour window automatically expire at the close of that window and do not roll over or accumulate into subsequent windows or days. Unused daily credits reset at midnight UTC.
• Paid Top-Up Independence & Exemption: All 6-hour window caps, daily limits, and expiration rules apply strictly and exclusively to free promotional tier credits. AI credits purchased via paid Rupee (₹) Top-Up packs (such as Starter, Standard, Pro, or Ultimate packs) do not expire every 6 hours or day and may be used freely and flexibly at any time until exhausted.
• Credit Consumption Tiers: Fast doubt chat and quick conceptual queries consume 1 credit; deep reasoning, max thinking, and complex numerical derivations consume 2 credits; and diagram vision / OCR document analysis consume 2 credits.

10. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We are committed to delivering exceptional educational value through our AI study tools and learning resources:

• AI Study Credit Packs & Digital Subscriptions: If an account is charged due to a technical error without credits being provisioned, or if an unutilized paid top-up pack is canceled within 7 days of purchase, users may request a full refund by contacting our support team at support@uninest.co.in.
• Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment source (bank account, UPI, or card) via Cashfree Payments within 5 to 7 business days, subject to standard banking settlement schedules.
• Vendor Marketplace Products: Returns or refunds for physical products supplied by campus vendors are subject to the specific vendor's published policy.

11. Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Contact

These Terms shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
